The Willamette Valley Wineries Association's Wine Country Thanksgiving will include 163 wineries this year, up 44 wineries from five years ago.

The 27th annual event will be held the weekend after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27-29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for most wineries.

Many of the participating wineries in Yamhill County will be supporting the Yamhill Community Action Partnership to help build a new community food bank. Participating wineries will be offering donation boxes during the event.

Small ships will explore Ketchikan to Juneau

A new small-ship cruise line will start weeklong voyages between Ketchikan and Juneau in 2011.

InnerSea Discoveries was created by American Safari Cruises, which has operated luxury yacht cruises in Alaska since 1997, according to the Ketchikan Daily News.

InnerSea has acquired the 80-passenger Wilderness Discoverer and the 66-passenger Wilderness Adventurer. The shallow-draft vessels were last operated by Glacier Bay Cruiselines during the 2005 season.
