- Gourmet Food Critic comments on Private Chef opens Very Private Restaurant
I've recently experienced the most splendid meal I've had in Las Vegas ,at this new restaurant "Intimate Fine Dining" in Henderson. I had an astounding 6 course meal, tasting all my favorite dishes and had them paired with wines that took me on a world expedition. In one night I had a fusion of Asian, French and American Cuisines. Chef Don and his staff presented the courses personally to me and I felt very comfortable. The dishes were like devoring artwork they included Caprese Salad with house made mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, basil sorbet with a balsamic maple reduction, Hudson Valley Foie Gras pan seared on coconut banana bread toast and the Buffalo short ribs braised in Fat tire beer with parmesan rissotto cakes was amazing. Service was impecable they greeted myself and my guests with complimentary Champagne and I discovered a delicious wine with the Konrad Late Harvest Riesling 2002 from Malborough New Zealand from the Maitre D Robert ..When I left the staff gave me a rose I guess its my memory of the finest meal I've had in a while . - Jerry Wilson comments on Makino Las Vegas Sushi Buffet
I cast my vote for the best mother's day place in Las Vegas!I will definitely take my mother to Makino's all you can eat gourmet seafood and sush restaurant. Don't let the name fool you! It's probably one of the more healthy places to eat in town, and they don't use any perservatives in the preparation of their very fresh food. The fish is all fresh and well-prepared in various methods from sushi to steamed to baked to broiled, and there are plenty of hot entres such as teriyaki beef and chicken. It's a very nice, relaxed, laid-back atmosphere with high ceilings and very 'in' design that is a major conversation piece. If you really want to make your mother happy for Mother's Day and give her a meal she won't soon forget, take her to Makino! The URLs are http://www.makinolasvegas.com http://www.makinorewards.com and http://www.makinogreentea.comSee you there! - Jerry Wilson comments on Buffet Review: Makino Sushi Buffet

Makino is about my favorite all-you-can-east sushi buffet in Vegas, and I agree with some of the comments that it is different from ordering at a regular sushi restaurant. But then so is the price! What I like most is that I can take friends that don't like sushi and they rave over the cooked stuff and the salads, not to mention the desserts and the infamous chocolate fountain! This is clearly not your typical buffet, sushi or otherwise. The service is usually pretty good, and very friendly as well. It's also very family-friendly, and kids under 12 and 3 feet high can eat for free any time. Definitely worth considering for a family outing! - Jerry Wilson comments on Charles Green Enjoys All You Can Eat Crab at Makino Gourmet Seafood Restaurant Las Vegas
