- Extension Of Stay - Thailand
So I crossed into Thailand from Cambodia, so I have 15 days free (Canadian passport). No tourist visa, just the permission to stay stamps. Is it possible to get an extension? Getting out of Thailand is going to take longer than I'd planned, so I'm gonna end up overstaying by a couple days. And I'd rather not have the overstay stamp in my passport if I can help it. But the only information I can find is about extending a tourist visa. What if you had no visa to begin with? What is the process of extending this? I'm in Bangkok for a couple more days, so can I do it now? Or do I need to wait until closer to when it expires (Jan 2)? I could also get to Koh Samui if it's possible there. Please let me know where I would go to extend this, ... - Thai Visa Rewewal At Ranong

Hi everyone, My husband and I just made the trip from Siem Reap to Vientiane through Thailand. We did this because we did not get our Laos Visas when we were in Phnom Penh, and didn't want to go back to get them. Therefore, we would not be allowed to cross the land border between Laos and Cambodia. We also did this because flying was really out of our budget. It may seem like a long post, but I tried to be as detailed as possible. It was so simple to do, I would recommend it to anyone. Here we go: Day#1: 1)6:00am Hired a private taxi (day before) to take us to the Thailand border from Siem Reap (Poipet). Cost: $25 Time: 2 hours 2)8:00am Arrived at the Poipet border crossing. The taxi dropped us off by a ... - VIETNAM VISA IN LAOS?

Hi Everyone, We are in Siem Reap right now and a guy at out hotel is telling us (after a few phone calls) that as of just recently, people are no longer required to have a Laos Visa in advance when arriving at the Laos/Cambodia border from the Cambodia side. Every book/ website page I have read states the exact opposite, and the only place to get a Laos Visa in in Phnom Pehn. I am just wondering if anyone else has run into this?! We are definitely going to go around to other travel agents to try and confirm this info, but would love to know what anyone else thinks!! Hopefully this guy is right! Robyn - Thailand 6 Months, Visa Help.
Hello there, Next July (1st) i am beginning a university project, which is part of a study abroad thing, unfortunately it doesn't take the place of the usual exchange situation and is completely unofficial. Does anybody know whether or not Vietnam issues double or multiple entry visas? My issue is that I am Flying to Hanoi in the early new year, staying in vietnam for approx. 30 days, and then am flying back home out of Ho Chi Min, but I am only going home for about a week for a family function, and then I am flying back to Ho Chi Min (I have a round flight). I plan to extend my visa to maybe a week or two longer than 30 days while I am in vietnam, So I am wondering if there will be any problems with leaving the country and then re-entering at a later date on the same visa. Does anybody have any experience with this, or information that could possibly help? Thanks in advance. - Does Kids Pay For Visas In Cambodia And Laos

Hi, We need help with our VISA! We arrived in Phuket on the 1st Nov and had a 30 day visa granted until the 30th Nov. We left on the 11th nov for vietnam and now planning on going back on the 1st Dec for a few days then travelleling overland to Laos for a few weeks, then back down to Thailand again on the 23rd of December until we fly out on the 17th Jan. This means we would be arriving back in Bangkok on the 1st November and I assume they then grant us a 2nd 30day visa? Which would mean we would be re-entering at the end of that visa and then need to extend it another 30 days... Does anyone have any advice or info on what we should do? Any help would be appreciated :) - Extending 15 Day Overland Visa Exemption In Thailand
I wanted to find out if I could get a tourist visa or somehow extend my overland 15 day visa exemption from within Thailand. I found similar questions but no definitive answers on this venerable website, so I decided to go to the immigration office in Bangkok to see for myself, here's what I found out. Of course, if this question has been answered somewhere then please delete the post. Basically you can get a 7 day extension on the 15 day overland exemption, costing you 1,900 baht, and that's it. I thought I might be able to get a tourist visa from within the country but that isn't the case. So if you come overland into Thailand without the tourist visa the maximum you can stay is 22 days. Also I'm not sure if it's been ... - Overstaying Vietnam Visa By 1 Day
