“Design For Test (DFT)Guidelines fro PCB Layout"

  The DFT presentation will focus on test issues that are being faced by PCB designer as a result of losing test access. The presentation will highlight several key considerations when evaluating a board for its overall testability given the fact that designs will likely not have full single sided test access necessary for In-Circuit Test. As such a DFT for Limited Access Test strategies will focus on design requirements for today’s testing environment and will include: DFT Considerations to achieve high fault coverage Boundary Scan Test DFT Considerations for achieve high fault coverage at Flying Probe Test Comparisons of Limited Access Test Coverage to Full ICT Test Coverage, and Pros and cons of different test strategies related to DFT and resultant coverage.

Biography:  Biography: Currently Shaun Hammil is working for Acculogic Ltd. as Field Product Specialist; Shaun has 13 years experience in Test industry including Flying Prober development, In-Circuit Test, Telecommunications and Optical Media fields. He earned his Bachelors Degree in E&IE (Hons) from the University of Huddersfield in the UK. Shaun is a Member of Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and has co-written Flying Prober articles including Flying fixtures provide best of test, Electronics Manufacturer and Test, published in April 2003.
