Hi Glenn,
I live in Daisy MD and discovered Washington A Peddicord's gravestone in some woods in Daisy MD on land that was probably part of Oakdale plantation. The stone reads his name and birth date as Nov 1815 and death March 2 1882. There are two other stones and possibly more but the area is very overgrown.My daughter and I found two other stones as well. One only had intials W.A.T. Please let me know if you would like the pictures or any more information. I will be calling the Howard County Historical Society tomorrow. Kim

My mother in law is Dianne Peddicord of Easton, Maryland. My husband and I now have two young daughters and I've been interested in tracing my daughter's heritage on both my and my husband's side of the family. Hello how great to see folks out there looking for the Petticord line. My GGrandmother Mary(Maude) Shaffer, born 1880, was from Hebron, Indiana Co. PA I understand that her mother was a Peddicord. Mary had a brother Leonard, that I think died in a fire. I have no other information on any of them. Mary married Albert Carlsen, he emigrated from Tonstad Norway. They lived in Windber, Somerset Co PA. I hope some of these names may sound familar to you. I would love to know more of the history of the Peddicord line. Hoping to hear from you ...

Researcher Bruce Johnson and I have closed this inquiry because no one one my line (Carrie's) nor Laurel Ethyls line has ever heard of any Peddicords and no relevant records can be found.

Frank Morgan Peddicord and Victoria Mapstead
Louise's parents were Frank Morgan Peddicord (Aug 1862-25 Feb 1944 CA) and Victoria MAPSTEAD (25 Jan 1870-14 July 1948). Franks' father was Capt. Columbus Adolphus Peddicord, (CSA) who was murdered after the civil war by carpetbaggers in KY. His mother was Isabelle Sarver. Frank Morgan's Aunt, Indiana Washington (nee Peddicord) Logan wrote a book about her family, particularly her two brothers who fought in the civil war. (one died in the war as a prisoner).

Does anyone have any other information regarding this family or are you related? Frank and Victoria are my GREAT GREAT Grandparents!

Charles Herschel Peddycoart son of Levi & Emily Lowe Peddycoart was my 2nd great-grandfather. He was born in 1868 in OH. His wife was Mary "Mamie" Orders. She was born in Dec 1874 in OH. Their children were:
Myrtle Mae Peddycoart born 16 May 1892 in Centerville, OH
Nellie B Peddycoart born May 1894 in OH
Charles Peddycoart born Dec 1897 in OH
Edward Peddycoart born 1899 in OH
Mazie A Peddycoart born 1905 in IL
Albert L Peddycoart born 1915 in IL

I can give more information on his daughter Myrtle (my great-grandmother) & her descendants if you are interested.

Peddicords' of East Tennessee? Related to Stubblefields'?
I've just been given a mystery that some Peddicords' are related to our Stubblefields' (possible previous spouses of Carrie or Ethyl Stubblefield who both later married Epps'.

These individuals are from East Tennessee (Hamblen, Hawkins, Hancock and Grainger counties. I was also given a nice picture of a man named Luther Peddicord in a uniform but I don't know where he factors in.

Hi, just so happens I was researching the Krick, Crick, Creek, Kruck data & just wanted to pass it along. Please note the different spelling of the surname posted below as this the norm up to about the late 1800s. So if you are having difficulties finding fmaily data for a particular surname just try out different spelling & see what pops up.
